Dr. Claire Nelson is the President and Founder of the Institute of Caribbean Studies and is one of the architects of the initiative that lead to the creation of June as Caribbean American Heritage Month. Dr. Nelson has held a variety of positions at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and has spoken at Jamaica Stock Exchange, Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Conference, Harvard University Black MBA Conference, African Development Bank, World Bank African Diaspora Outreach Forum.

In this episode she shares the desire to find a new generation of leaders within the Caribbean Diaspora to continue the policy agenda that impacts the community.
