Training on demand with Lynda.com

Lynda.com offers software and business skills training on demand. On demand training means you have 24 x 7 access to courses to learn at your own pace.  I started using Lynda.com 3 years ago, while I worked at my “day job” as a manager of 20 plus people. With a staff of this size, on demand training is something that I needed  because it provides easy access and consistency.

Lynda.com is a paid subscription. There are different membership levels for individuals or companies. Most courses have a video transcript which is searchable. Can’t sit through an entire course? Lynda.com keeps track of your progress and you can see where you left off so you know where to pick up your training. There’s also an app to go with Lynda.com allowing you to continue your training on the go.

I learned how to use WordPress, the platform for Carry On Friends, using Lynda.com.
