Tackling Stress & Toxic Environments at Work

“We have the power to make changes especially health changes for ourselves and those to come.” ~ Anim Aweh

Haitian American, Anim Aweh is a licensed clinical social worker and health educator. She discovered her passion for public health and mental health in minority women while still in high school.

Anim, completed her undergraduate degree in Public Health while working in the Veteran’s Hospital in Boston.  While working at the hospital, she volunteered some of her time in the Social Work Department.  Discovering yet another passion, Anim would go on to complete her Master’s in Social Work.  She would then return to the Boys & Girls Club to pilot the first mental health program geared towards children by developing and facilitating cognitive psychotherapy groups and individual psychotherapy.   She encourages those that are receiving services to be patient with the process, looking for immediate results is not realistic.

In today’s episode we discuss:

    • Tackling stress at work, toxic work environments and managing side hustles on top of that.
    • Strategies to combat stress, burnout and other experiences at work.
