Caleb Williams on Carry On Friends

From Family Remedy to Pharmaceutical Breakthrough

In this week’s episode, I have a captivating conversation with a fellow Black Ambition semi-finalist, Caleb Williams. Caleb is making waves in the pharmaceutical industry using his Trinidadian family’s remedy. He shares fascinating stories about the healing plant that brings pain relief, and how he’s built a business around it.

First off, Caleb tells us how his pain relief products got started. Due to his son’s ankle injury at a very crucial time in his sports career, Caleb came to learn of his grandmother’s secret remedy. After seeing the quick results the plant produced, he got to work.

Caleb did what it took to pursue his new mission to help people live happier, healthier, and pain free lives. Over time he got sample products, conducted studies and research, and eventually resigned from his corporate job. Luckily, his hard work paid off!

The active ingredient in his grandmother’s remedy was confirmed as a new botanical drug discovery, which makes them the first black owned company in US history to get this credit. Many people around the world suffer from chronic inflammation, and this plant’s ingredient has been proven to be no match to other popular pain relief options.

Throughout this episode, Caleb gives us insights into how they developed various products, got them on the market, and the workarounds to avoid fully disclosing the secret ingredient. He even shares some of his future plans, as well.

Caleb also drops some gems for entrepreneurs as he dives into the unexpected challenges he has faced along his journey. One of his biggest takeaways is that business comes down to relationships, and so it is important to build connections within our community.
