Interview series

The Interview Series Returns

I’m always bummed when summer ends, after all I’m a Caribbean Queen. 🙂

This year, I’m very excited about Fall because of the new things ahead which I’ll reveal in due time. Right now it’s all about the return of the Interview Series but before I get into that, a quick reflection of the summer.

This summer I collaborated with Mikelah of Style & Vibes to co-host the podcast which was a lot of fun. To date we did 5 episodes all of which have gotten great responses.

  1. Work Life Balance;
  2. Is A Side Hustle Right For You;
  3. 5 Things to Think About When Working with Friends;
  4. 5 Tips to Manage Your Career;
  5. Does being Multi-Passionate mean you should be a multi-Entrepreneur;

You can listen to the podcast from your iPhone or any Apple device in iTunes. Android users can listen to the podcast using one of these apps from the Play Store. Plus the podcast can also be found on Stitcher Radio and TuneIn.

Mikelah and I would appreciate it if you take a minute to subscribe, rate and review the podcast. This will help the podcast and how it’s ranked in iTunes.

Also with summer over, the Interview Series is back next week, October 21st after its summer break with guest Shelli Rai James of Straight From Yard.

There is a slight change in format of the series. Instead of doing the 2 part format, it will just be the podcast only because our readers really connected to that format more.

I’m excited about the return of the interview series because since January the series has featured Caribbean and Caribbean American entrepreneurs across a variety of industries.

Caribbean American Gen X/Millennial entrepreneurs and career professionals are underrepresented in media. Moreover, there aren’t many outlets specifically dedicated to inspiring, encouraging and supporting young, up and coming Caribbean American entrepreneurs and career professionals. I believe this under-representation creates a disconnect between what we know is happening and the potential in our community and the diaspora versus what is portrayed in media or lack thereof.

And so series fits perfectly with the primary aim of the blog and podcast if to offer business and career resources for the Caribbean American with a likkle bit of personal growth and culture mixed in. It’s my mission to inspire and empower the Caribbean American entrepreneur and career professional to pursue their goals, dreams and passions. While also giving them the tools/resources they need to succeed to make a positive impact in the diaspora, the region and the world.

The interviews are always released first on iTunes, Sticher Radio, TuneIn – so remember to subscribe.

Mi ready, yeah we ready, you ready?
